The Cycle

He pursued me with his words

 He acted on each and every verb

That he served with his lips

 That he would use to tentatively

And sensuously kiss me

He'd dominate the submissive me

Make my back arch and toes curl

Every touch would rock my inner world

He'd lift my heart with his presence

And then BOOM...

Leave my heart heavy with his total absence and silence

Just disappear, as transparent as air

Almost like he was never really here

The words of love, feelings felt from kissing

Are all missing

No responses to my calls or messages

His last words were lies of empty promises

I'm left feeling empty again

After being filled to the brim

Conclude to myself I'm done with him

And then out of nowhere he returns...
